Hi all, could I use the ¼ inch holes on the garage track support frame that’s on the sides to drop a couple long eye bolts and string some wire to hold up my net? It would face the door when closed and give clearance for the door to open still. I figured there are the G-Trak systems that are a lot heavier than a net which are designed to clamp to the garage tracks, so weight shouldn’t be an issue.

I wouldn’t foresee this being a problem as long as it is always well clear of snagging on any moving parts.

I did something similar in my single garage stall. I used Eye bolts in the wall and attached a plastic coated clothesline to the angle iron holding up the tracks and opener. All in like $1300 with the square golf sim and a decent mat. $1500 if you include the tv.
10×10 batting cage and a cheap hitting net from amazon. Net is held by carabiner clips and I used zinc wire clamps to hold the line tight. I also Used corn hole bags as weights to hold the net outside of swing plane. Works great!
I installed a track like you would find in an RV to the underside of the rails and hung curtains in my last garage. Worked well and could push them up against the wall and out of the way if needed.

How about a 3D printed clip that would attach to the back of the track without interfering with the rollers. The clip could have a rubber or TPU strip to keep it in place and prevent any rattles and a eye to serve as an attachment point for the net? Shouldn’t be too hard to design.
