Hi, please let me know any improvements for my swing.
For reference, my coach has let me know:
1) my hips are not leading the way for my arms
2) right shoulder is “following forward/through” instead of hips forward
3) chicken wing bend at elbow
He has suggested half shots and 3/4 shots. Looking at my swing are there any other suggestions/ mental tricks to fix above problems, any drills i can do or any other very glaring problems the sub might spot
I also cant seem to compress the ball and consistently hit mat before ball OR i top the ball causing it to roll very often with my irons

If you’re paying a coach, the absolute worst thing you can do is solicit additional advice, especially from the internet.
Listen to your coach and don’t take advice from Redditors.
your setup needs work. U need less knee flex because you’re too squatted, more hunch on back(too straight at the moment), get closer to the ball. Main issue with your swing is cupped left wrist at top of swing. What that’s going to cause is steep down swing, which u currently have right now. Flatten out the wrist.
Biggest things I see is your posture at address and your wrist being incredibly cupped at the top of your swing.
Hips are definitely letting u down. Try pre loading into the back leg and ripping ur belt buckle to the target thru impact.
hot damn
Maybe try getting a little more stiff in the body? Like just clench everything up and get super rigid.
I think your back is too straight. It’s ok to bend a little bit near the top of your back.
See pros they have a more natural address position with their back that is slightly bent for comfort
I agree, listen to your coach when you already have one and spend money. But one thing: I think your posture and stance look absolutely terrible. If your coach hasn’t anything to change there, then he might not be the greatest coach around.
Ask your coach to fix your posture first there is honestly no way to recover from your position at address.
Also, the camera is moving to the left so you cant really trust your tracers. Position your camera on something instead of having someone hold it.
My guy out here looking like a protractor.
But I have no comment, better than my swing
Be patient and stick to your coach’s plan. If he says do 1/2 or 3/4 swings, keep doing that until your mechanics get a little better.
He’s trying to build your swing up from a solid foundation, and if you’re out here taking a bunch of full swings instead you’re just reinforcing bad habits/mechanics.
All that’s fine if you want to just go out and play golf but if you’re committing time/money for coaching, go all in on it. It will pay dividends in the future.
Good luck on your golf journey!
