RUSTON – Louisiana Tech will be one of 13 teams participating in the Maridoe Intercollegiate, a two-day event hosted by the University of North Texas.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech is headed back to the Maridoe Intercollegiate. The Bulldogs participated in this event last season, placing 11th with two Bulldogs finishing in the top 25. It will be another stiff challenge on a difficult golf course plus a field that includes four teams ranked in the top 20 in the country.
Oskari Schuvalow will head the Bulldog lineup, this after being the low man in the Linger Longer Invitational. The junior used a three under 69 in the final round to climb 30 spots and finish in a tie for 34th. It was his eighth round at or under par this season and his fifth at three under or better. He currently has a stroke average of 73.00, having participated in all nine events.
Seth Campbell tied for 45th at the Linger Longer Invitational among over 100 golfers, his best finish of the spring. The graduate senior shot four over for the tournament, including a one under 71 in round one. He has a current stroke average of 74.27.
Abel Derksen also tied for 45th at the last event. The sophomore put together his best round of the season in round three, shooting a career-low five under (67). It was the second lowest round of the season by any Bulldog. He currently has a stroke average of 73.21 through seven events played.
Morton Bailey is set to play in his 10th event of the season. The sophomore leads LA Tech with 13 rounds at or under par, one of which came in the final round at the Linger Longer Invitational. He has five top 20 finishes this season and owns a stroke average of 72.72.
Riley Hnatyshyn rounds out the team lineup. The senior anchors the Bulldogs in stroke average at 72.55. He also has the highest individual finish of any Bulldog this season, tying for fifth at the Louisiana Classics.
Isaac Adams will also be making the trip to Carrollton, Texas as the Bulldog will participate as an individual. The sophomore has seen action in three events this season. His last tournament was in October at the Steelwood Collegiate. He currently has a stroke average of 76.50.
