Berlin, Md.  – After an opening round 69 at three under par, Keiran Cummins led Fordham University Golf in its second tournament of the spring, as he finished tied for 11th in the 98-player field in the Battle at Rum Pointe.

The Rams finished tied for 10th as a team out of 18 in the field, with Iona winning the tournament over Fairfield by three strokes.

Cummins finished three over after 36 holes, just two strokes off the top four players in the tournament in a share of 11th place, the third top-20 finish for the rookie golfer this season.

Second for the Rams was Luke Brower, improving by four strokes on his day one score to finish the weekend in a tie for 51st place, followed by AJ DePaolo two strokes back in a share of 63rd place.

Closely behind just one more shot back were both Patrick Ginnity and Jack St. Ledger, tied for 65th, with Liam Howard rounding out the scores in a share of 84th place.

Fordham has a quick turnaround as they return to action Monday afternoon for 36-holes in a single day tournament at the Columbia Spring Invitational from Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa.
