Hopefully moving forward @LIVGolf has a policy where all players have to be signed by Jan 1. And if there is a situation where someone is close with a contract but not quite there past Jan 1, then LIV executives get involved to resolve it quickly, with a hard deadline before teams' week. It'll prevent the P Reed situation from happening again.
