I started last summer. I just seem to slice a lot and chunk the ball a lot. Today was a bad session at the range but this video is from March 10, 2026. Please leave as many tips as you can it would be so appreciated.
You have a very weak grip that would naturally cause a slice and lose distance. When you grip it, your thumbs should be resting on the top of the grip, pointing straight down the club. The bottom thumb should be covered by the palm part of your top thumb.
It’ll take a bit of time for you to get used to. But overall this is the best starting point.

You do a really solid job of shifting your weight and using your hips to drive the swing. I would like to see you take a little bit more time at the transition from back swing to down swing to allow your body to separate and get the “rubber-band effect.” This will also result in a more clean delivery of the club face to the ball. Try feeling like your backswing is in slow (ish) motion to give yourself time to create space.
As to the chunking, it’s not obvious why exactly why this is happening — try, setting your gaze immediately in front of the ball, at the first plate of grass in front of it, and direct your swing there. Basically, right under the front of the ball. Adjust your low point until you’re hitting ball first, and as simple as it sounds, try to hit the ball with the center of the club face.

To much being at the knee and not enough rotation in B the hips in the backswing imo. Check out the ryform golf app it’ll help you with these issues

Got to release the club head thru impact. Think about serving a tray with ur trail arm. U want to dump the tray on the golf ball.
