My buddy went after a ball that was about 2/3 in water along the edge of a swampy pond – 2 extra balls came out with his. And he covered himself in stinky mud – we laughed pretty hard

Had this happen after I shanked one into really long grass. Thought the golf gods were smiling on me but I was actually sitting on top of another ball. I purred the ball below mine, pain

so did some poor guy lose his ball in the tour conditions rough a week before the tournament cus I cant imagine a pro would lose his ball with all the cameras and spectators around

I try and play Torrey right up to the Farmers Open. The rough can get grown out to a ridiculous length and with all the hacks like me getting on the course before hand, it’s surprising we haven’t seen this more. I guess pros stay in the fairway more haha.

I once found myself in a situation where I hit another ball from the rough first – one I didn’t own – and then my own. The shot didn’t turn out too well, but the main thing was that I got a free ball.
