The 2026 Players Championship delivered another incredible finish at TPC Sawgrass. Cameron Young came from four shots back on Sunday to win the biggest tournament of his career, finishing at 13-under and edging out Matt Fitzpatrick by one shot.
The turning point came on the iconic island green at the 17th hole, where Young stuck his approach and made a clutch birdie to tie the lead. He followed it up with a massive 375-yard drive on the 18th hole before calmly making par to secure the victory.
With a $25 million purse and one of the strongest fields in golf, The Players Championship is often called the unofficial “fifth major” on the PGA Tour.
