Fairway woods can make or break your long game and most golfers are guessing when they buy one.

This is our first ever fairway wood test using the new Cool Clubs robot, and we’re breaking down the real performance data to see which fairway woods are separating themselves heading into 2026.

We cover lie angles, center strike launch and spin, distance, dispersion from every impact location, plus the real differences between shallow and deeper fairway wood designs and what that means for your game.

If you want to know the best fairway woods of 2026, this is the test you need to watch.

  1. Why always 3 woods? Most 90 mph users use 5 or 7 woods. Also would like tp see differences in titleist woods. Gt1 vs gt3 vs gt3 in 5 or 7 woods

  2. JXP One with the tightest cluster. Only the toe was a bit shorter and right, but I only see 5 dots in there so maybe a few more shots would tighten it up even further.

Qi4D was the only one even close to it, and it has lower launch and lower spin which could be good for some and bad for others. I'd say faster swing players might lean towards Qi4D and slower to the JPX One.

I am curious if these same tendencies will show up in the higher lofted versions, the 5 and 7 woods, of the same lines as well.

  3. Love the the information from you guys!! But, how do you not add the GT 1 3 tour to this list. Hands down the best 3 wood on the market

  4. You guys are incredible with this data… i never hit in the heel, so would be interesting to see the how the "white circle of forgiveness" would be if you eliminated the heel strikes on both the Quantum max and the Taylor Made. I'm sure you can do this with a couple clicks ! Last fall i was custom fit for ELYTE TD 15 deg. 3 wood, performs amazing… looking forward to the LS/tour heads in your next upcoming test.

  5. Great idea to go fairway woods! …but maybe your team should go with 5 woods (or even 7 woods)! …more of these weapons in the bag of the average golfer ;-))

  6. Curious about how these graphs are expected to change with speed.

Looking at G440, would a higher speed player expect to see the toe and heel shots gear more towards the center of the dispersion circle?

i.e. how much are the dispersion graphs tuned to a specific player speed?

  7. I think we can easily see why TM makes the most popular fairway on tour. Keeps spin down, best dispersion and less draw biased. Qi4d looks like an absolute monster 💯

  8. Gamed G440s before… have Qi4D now and they are SO amazing. I've only been playing just over 3 months and I can already shape my shots with the Qi4D fairways. Straight, draws, fades… it shouldn't be this easy!

  9. Since 3 woods are slowly becoming obsolete would love to see a test with the actual lineup of fairway woods like a 3-5-7

  10. Jesus Christ, man! Lay off the coffee before these videos and please let each other complete a thought before jumping in.

  11. Great video. I bought the G 440- 3 wood when I bought the G440 LST Driver. Hits quite straight and very forgiving. I appreciate your videos. Definitely subscribed.

  12. 😢 My G440 -> straight to the trash 😢

    Why did I watch this….now I HAVE to buy Qi4D 😂😂

    Ive barely had my g440 4, 7 and 9 woods more than 3 months … Damn !

  13. Would have loved to see the Optm especially since we are talking bout forgiveness. Maybe a part 2 with Optm, Wilson, Tour Edge and PXG

  14. Usually the sweet spot is just a tiny bit towards the toe, is that the reason many woods&drivers seem draw biased in robot tests? Ping seems quite straight from the toe and qi4d may have the sweet spot right in the middle?
