I've broken 80 twice this year hitting a 79 in Jan and just this past weekend hitting a 78.

Is this the beginning of dare i say a 70s player?

I regularly hit below 85 in the past 8 months of playing. I don't know how or what's happening? I'm suprised by this and am waiting to blow back out to the 90 realm.

Thoughts and prayers please? Advise to sneak deeper into the 70s also appreciated. Because I broke 80 – tell your partner you're allowed to buy yourself a present. โ›ณ๏ธ๐ŸŽซ

I obviously bought myself a new driver – Takomo Ignis, Ventus X-stiff will this help? Absolutely not.

Mmmmmm go break 80 from 6k yards next. Then do it from 6500.

Unfortunately the differential on a par 70 from 5100 yards is no where near the rating on a regulation course. So it’s unlikely you’d break 80 anywhere else.

Either way that is exciting and something not a lot of people can say they have done.

Just out of curiosity, what happened with the 7 on the par 5? This is normally a slice from the tee to the wrong fairway in my game.

390 yard par 5? Should be an eagle opportunity every time.

One of the shortest courses I’ve ever seen going off the scorecard
