The Deviate Nitro Elite 4 is Puma’s racing shoe meant for a very a wide variety of runners and running styles. It is a very forgiving carbon plated racer with a great feeling of bounce and power under the foot, yet providing good stability and an awesome fit on the foot preventing black toenails. Being 20 grams lighter than the previous version, it feels fantastic at all paces, from warmup pace to 5k pace.

In this video, I review the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4 in details, I put it to the test at different paces, I perform two comparative tests (bounce test and stability test), and I analyse how it compares to other race day shoes.

  1. At the moment I find the NB elite V5 best for my running style. Best drop and energy return for me as a slow runner.

  2. I loved the V3. I bought the V4 but sent it back in the end. Felt it was firmer and the upper was not as race snug as the V3 for me. Also V3 felt more "fun" to me. So I gave the V4 a miss..The new Cielo X1 3.0 on the other hand….🥰🥰

  3. I have now run 660 km in a pair of version 3s and they are still great for me. Don't really notice any difference compared to a new pair of DNE3s.
