🏌️ 0:00 – Still slicing that driver? You’re not alone – effects vs root cause
⚡ 0:40 – The real pivot and transition problem causing your slice
🏖️ 1:36 – Ball and chair drill with $3 beach ball training aid
🏒 2:31 – Stick and knee move for proper right side bend
📐 3:47 – Why shoulder incline matters for inside delivery
🆚 4:31 – Driver vs iron swing differences (they look alike but aren’t)
🍝 5:32 – Swim noodle drill for square clubface at impact
🦶 7:49 – Toe down drill for squaring forearms and hands

Greg Jones from Steelwood Country Club reveals the exact cause-and-effect relationship behind your slice and provides a complete fix system. Instead of just treating symptoms, you’ll learn why your path goes left and face stays open, then master two fundamental moves and two proven drills that eliminate slicing for good.

What you’ll learn:
-Why pivot and transition problems cause left path and open face
-Ball and chair drill technique for proper chest turn and shoulder positioning
-Stick and knee move to achieve right side bend for inside delivery
-How driver and iron swings differ fundamentally (no shaft lean with driver)
-Swim noodle drill for maintaining shoulder incline and square impact
-Toe down drill for earlier forearm and hand squaring
-Complete slice fix recipe addressing root causes, not just effects
-Why the 71-inch driver position gives maximum efficiency

  1. I'm loving your content. Precise and easy to follow with easy drills to fix common problems. Thank you for doing this.

One request, would you mind placing the whiteboard in the center of the camera shot for a few seconds at the end of each video. I have been taking screen grabs of the whiteboard to have the notes with me for range sessions and getting a good full screen of the white board would be a huge help!
    TYIA.

  2. Great stuff Coach! The part at the end about squaring the clubface 8:02 is the final piece to the puzzle. Works every time!

  3. I just found your channel. I've been binge watching the content. You must have seen me play! Every problem you address is me! Too much shaft lean with the driver, not enough pivot. When I'm in the fairway I play to an 11. When I'm struggling with the driver I'm playing to a 15-16. I'm trying to get to single digit for next year! Thank you for those practice plans!

BTW, I'm 58 1/2 and wish I could hit my 9i 150 yds. (from your other video). I'm probably around 125 on avg.

  4. I worked on these drills and they worked! Best drives I ever had! Before every drive I do the toe down drill. The results have been fantastic!

  5. Hey coach, I’ll be in the Daphne area by late November through mid December and would love to take some lessons in person. Do I just contact you through Steelwood? do you offer lessons to non-members?

  6. Thanks, Coach Greg !
    Love the whiteboard summation !
This rings true for me cause I’ve always tried to get thru the ball but in doing so often turned upper & lower thru, coming over the top sometimes.
Would this be applicable to fairway woods & long hybrids as well ?
    Thank you

  7. New to your channel and love the teaching. Could you share with me what the words “71 inch driver position” means? Thanks.

  8. Like the drills. But have problem weight staying on right side or back. I have no weight shift or hip lateral slide from right side to the left that you seem to have in your full swing. I hit the ground with my driver seems to be my big miss. Have video to cover this weight shift or hip lateral slide? Have have to preload weight to the left with hips keeping head back creating tilt.
