They’re like tread on a tire. When all the other grooves get low you compare to the shiny unused ones in the middle; and when there is more than 50% difference it’s time to go buy some shiny new blades. Hope this helps

Grooves are only for the rough. Just hit it into the fairway and you don’t need any of them.

Grooves are to give grass and debris somewhere to go so that contact/ spin isn’t affected by anything getting in between the ball and club surface.
Those little guys there? I wouldn’t worry about those little guys there.
I avoid the grooves and use the chunky edge at the bottom
