  1. Well look at @tugr rankings which is unbiased and is based on analytics it's not tour agonistic Jon is 3rd on there below Rory 2nd and Scottie 1st which is correct. The owgr is to biased it's got far to many links to the pga tour which basically funds the owgr it's a complete con it's designed to make pga tour players top , it needs removing and replacing with @tugr

  2. World rankings are always going to be subjective as so many factors. I just want to see Rahm on Ryder cup regardless of where he plays as he is a world class player

  3. FWIW, glad to see there hasn't been an entire 180 support towards Liv now and that Guy isn't being forced to change or hold his tongue on his opinions or how much (obviously little) he cares for LIV. Kudos to Rick, I know people in far lesser positions with far less motivation who would act differently

  4. Rules are the rules especially when it applies to Ryder cup look at all the Americans that haven't been able to play in the Ryder cup

  5. So on that discussion of gradually gettong better i think everyone just needs a lesson wity Dan Grieve and will drop significant shots a round 😂

  6. I will say about the Ryder cup bit, the European team has a lot more continuity. I feel like year in, year out, the core group is the same. The US has so many good players, it feels like there’s not a core of top guys who stay there long enough and build that trust and team atmosphere Europe has built. Also, a lot of these European players travel across the pond for away from home while the US players tour on home soil. Being that far away from your extended family and friends for most of the year, they probably lean on the other veterans from Europe who’ve been there and dealt with that strain, which also builds bonds that ultimately lead to how they gel together in a team atmosphere.

  7. The Americans are bothered – the key difference shining through is the American overtly individualistic philosophy Vs more collectivism of Europe.

  8. I agree with de majoring the PGA and making the Players a major.

The PGA should be played across the globe, imo.

  9. No player should be bigger that the tour/Ryder Cup John left DP tour knowing what would happen therefore it was his choice to take the cash. He was offered a olive branch and chose to refuse and thats his choice. But to say make it 2 events and I will sign is wrong. The DP tour has to protect there business and not be dictated too by one player with a massive ego.

  10. The World Golf Rankings is a joke. The Top 8 Players in my opinion are (In no order) Rahm, Rory, Scottie, Bryson, Nieman, Hatton, Patrick Reed. After that, it gets really fuzzy. I love Xander and Thomas, but both guys are struggling after surgery. Spaun is not consistent enough. Bhatia might be in the Top 10 now that he's gone to the broomstick. We'll see. The list is fluid.

  11. Its seems like the USA team is full of alpha males, but if you hole the putt for the European team you are going to be in the middle of a Shane Lowry / Jon Rahm sandwich.

  12. I'm so happy to have been there on Saturday and follow Jon Rahm around during his round and cheering him on even with his rough start . At the end I even got my hat signed by Rahm and Puig. It was such a great experience to attend the LIV Hong Kong event.

  13. With Donald doing a third then he may need to commit to a fourth now. If not then the Tour need to identify who would be a leading candidate for the 2029 event and get them to shadow Luke Donald closely for these next two years as a tier above the normal Vice Captains so they know the job inside out before they commit for 2029. Europe have built up a legacy of continuity but always makes me nervous having a first time captain heading to the US.

  14. LIV vs PGA would be an absolute bloodbath. Saying Morikawa gets eaten up by Niemann is so silly & that’s your 4th guy 😂 take players 6-12 on PGA versus LIV and it’s truly not even close. You can’t tell me with a straight face Thomas Detry stands a chance against Cam Young or Chris Gotterup.

  15. Congratulations to Mr. Rahm for winning a minor-league event. Let's see what he does when he plays in a real event against the BEST players in the world.

  16. Bhatia is anchoring so is Langer….they need to scrap this rule or call them out for cheating….too much of a grey area

  17. The YouTube Ryder Cup should totally be arranged!
8 best Americans, 8 best Europeans, duel it out, in the UK this time around.
Make 3 videos, put out the Friday Saturday & Sunday before the actual Ryder Cup. The views would be huge!

  18. Pretty good podcast until you started talking about the golf tournament in Jacksonville. I think you are in love with the course itself and are confusing that love with what is no more than just another PGA Tour tournament with a bunch of marketing hype.

  19. Rahm was playing against a 3rd rate field. I know you're a LIV sellout now but have some integrity.
