NAPERVILLE GOLF ANNOUNCES BROOKS TOURNAMENT SERIES
The 2026 Brooks Tournament Series for amateur golfers will kick off Saturday, April 18, with the Partner Best-Ball Challenge at Naperbrook Golf Course, the Naperville Park District announced.
Tournaments are planned for through November at the district’s two golf courses: Springbrook at 2220 W. 83rd St. and Naperbrook at 22204 W. 111th St./Hassert Blvd. Different events are available for men, women, youth, seniors and teams.

The tournament includes:
Partner Best-Ball Challenge – Saturday, April 18, at Naperbrook;
Brooks Four-Ball Match Play – Monday, April 27, to Sunday, Aug. 23, at Springbrook and Naperbrook;
Brooks Team Championship – Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, at Naperbrook and Springbrook;
Senior Partner Championship – Wednesday, June 3, at Springbrook;
Naperville Junior Amateur Championship – Monday, July 6, at Naperbrook;
Naperville Men’s Amateur Championship – Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, at Naperbrook and Springbrook;
Springbrook Women’s Invitational – Monday, Aug. 10, at Springbrook;
Glen Ekey Senior Amateur Championship – Wednesday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 20, at Springbrook and Naperbrook;
Senior Fall Scramble – Thursday, Sept. 10, at Naperbrook;
Senior Fall Partner Best-Ball – Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Springbrook;
Fall Scramble – Saturday, Oct. 10, at Springbrook;
Turkey Shoot – Saturday, Nov. 21, and Sunday, Nov. 22, at Naperbrook and Springbrook.
GEM, MINERAL, FOSSIL SHOW AT DUPAGE FAIRGROUNDS
The Earth Science Club of Northern Illinois has scheduled its 66th annual Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton.
Offering free admission and free parking, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22.
More than 20 vendors will be in attendance, which is double than last year’s event and the largest in club history, organizers said. The Earth Science Club promotes interests in geology, paleontology, mineralogy and archaeology.
The event features displays from the Field Museum of Natural History and the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art as well as wire wrapping and beading demonstrations and a live and silent auction.
A kid’s area will have glow-in-the-dark minerals and free geodes, organizers said.
