LIV Golf faces a setback as eight players remain stranded in the Middle East due to flight disruptions amid ongoing conflict, risking their attendance at the LIV Golf Hong Kong event (March 5–8 at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling). The eight are Lee Westwood, Laurie Canter, Sam Horsfield, Adrian Meronk, Thomas Detry, Caleb Surratt, Tom McKibbin, and Anirban Lahiri, who are pursuing multiple flight options with LIV’s reserves ready if they cannot arrive in time. The Hong Kong field features teams such as 4Aces GC, Cleeks GC, Crushers GC, Fireballs GC, HyFlyers GC, Korean Golf Club, Legion XIII, Majesticks Golf Club, RangeGoats GC, Ripper GC, Smash GC, Southern Guards GC, Torque GC, and Wild Card, with top players including Dustin Johnson, Thomas Detry, Anthony Kim, Thomas Pieters, Martin Kaymer, Adrian Meronk, Victor Perez, Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III, Anirban Lahiri, Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson, Cameron Tringale, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Bubba Watson, and Cameron Smith.
