That tee shot on 16 was out of nowhere but that shot just completely noodled his noggin. Funny how the brain can just take over. All of a sudden, Lowry had no idea what he was doing.

Total collapse…it can happen to the best golfers. The mind is a strange thing. It happens hundreds of times across the United States, with golfers playing for a meager club championship.
It's an utter and complete choke job. I am a Shane fan. He collapsed. That Tee shot on 16 with an Iron he could hit it 100 more times and never do what he did again. The pressure just got to him. Under no circumstance should you be in or anywhere near the water on that shot. After that he lost his entire game and confidence. One of the bigger chokes we have seen. He just doesn't know how to win anymore. It is that simple.
Feel for Shane rn. Great guy. Great game. Hopefully more wins in the future
Went to an event. We were on the ropes, maybe 3 feet from where they walked off the tee . His playing partners acknowledged us with just a quick thanks and hello, Shane walked right by, no response. Glad he choked.
Golf is the craziest game. -6 with no bogeys all day and makes back to back doubles for the first time in his career on tour. There is nothing like it

you think he has played golf long enough to know a bad swing with a driver equals a bad swing with a long iron. being conservative off the tee doesnt equate to choosing a club that will have the same miss.

He look to get club stuck inside and behind him… Played awesome all day. He definitely mind **** himself. He needs a mind technique to keep him relaxed in the stressful moments of the round… Shane is a class act. That bunker shot was 5/5 star awesome.

The nerves started showing earlier in the round on 3 or 4 when he heeled his drive 231 yds with maybe a 25’ apex down the left side. Brutal
