What 13 Handicap Golf Looks Like On My Home Course (Every Shot)
Join me for a challenging round of golf at my home course, Oakmere Park, as I tackle the Admiral’s front nine! My personal best here is +3, and the on-camera best is +6, so I’m pushing to get close to that target. The round starts strong, with a fantastic 7-wood shot putting me on the green in two on a par five, leading to an eagle opportunity. However, the notoriously unpredictable British weather quickly makes an appearance, bringing rain and adding an extra layer of difficulty. Throughout the round, I battle with inconsistent lag putting, missing crucial chances, but also pull off some incredible recovery shots from tricky lies. Witness the frustration of ‘leaking simple shots’ and the exhaustion of climbing a ‘monster hill’ on the brutal final hole. Despite the struggles and temporary mats, I managed to finish one stroke off my personal best on camera. Watch all the highs and lows as I fight for every shot and reflect on where my game truly stands.

Just on the 1st hole, you done the right thing going for the eagle! But winter greens are a lottery so don’t beat yourself up too much.
There were quite a few good swings in there and I don’t think you said once, “that was nice/good”. It seems you just look at the bad….. it is fine to praise yourself now and then, enjoy the journey.
Love seeing every shot! Really shows the whole journey. What a cracking first tee shot! Some interesting conditions, so got to be happy with that score!
