Got a hitting net for Christmas and soon after bought the Garmin R10 on sale with the intention of setting up a makeshift sim in my garage to ease my winter golf withdrawals. Blissfully unaware of the stubborn nature of the R10 when it comes to environmental interference, I set off on a financially ruinous and labour intensive journey to hone my garage into the bare minimum of what was required for the Doppler-based bastard to function correctly. Finally I just bit the bullet and bought a cheap but effective monitor and an impact screen to fit the frame of the net. I am finally happy to say it works perfectly. Still not enough room to hit driver but am having more than enough fun playing my local par 3 course. If I had known the r10 was such a pain in the ass to use indoors I would have gladly forked over more for the square. But truth be told now that it works I am thrilled.Extremely gratifying project.

I just got the R10 for my garage set up, what should I be looking out for? And what’s up with the foam tiles?
