HONG KONG GOLF CLUB AT FANLING

Hong Kong

PAR: 70
YARDAGE: 6,711

Hong Kong Golf Club, established in 1889, has been a fixture in professional golf for more than six decades and has staged more elite-level golf tournaments than any other golf club in Asia.

The club has hosted the Hong Kong Open since 1959 and is part of the Asian Tour schedule as one of the 10 International Series tournaments

Hong Kong Golf Club and Augusta National are the only two golf clubs in the world that have hosted the same professional tournament for more than 60 years.

Hong Kong Golf Club is home to the oldest championship golf club in Asia. It has also received the prestigious Award of Distinction in the 2023 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conversation

Fireballs GC’s Abraham Ancer won the inaugural LIV Golf Hong Kong in 2024 in a three-many playoff against Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smith and Crushers GC’s Paul Casey

Sergio Garcia won last year’s Hong Kong Open while his Fireballs GC team completed the sweep of both trophies

Ian Poulter, Ben Campbell and Tom McKibbin all past champions of the Hong Kong Open that is also played at Hong Kong Golf Club

LIV Golf Hong Kong will utilize the same composite layout at Fanling that is used by the Hong Kong Open

The 529-yard par 5 13th was the equal easiest hole on LIV Golf in 2025, averaging 0.78 under par across the tournament. The other par 5 (3rd hole) was the 10th easiest hole in the league in 2025, averaging 0.48 under par

The dogleg left 493-yard ninth, the longest par 4 on the course, has been the most difficult hole for the first two years of LIV Golf Hong Kong

The 288-yard par-4 fourth was the second easiest par-4 on the course and is drivable under soft conditions but has not yielded an eagle in the first two years

The field stroke average for the par-70 course in 2025 was 67.846 – nearly a half-stroke better than the previous year (68.216)

The 13th and 17th holes share a large double green, leading to potentially long putts

The par-4 16th is a slight downhill dogleg right – and offers players a blind tee shot. A nice high fade is usually the proper play
