  1. This case sparked controversy for being "too harsh," leading to a change in the 2019 Rules of Golf regarding how to handle a replaced ball that moves due to natural forces (such as wind or gravity).

  2. If it had rolled INTO the hole, it would have counted as holed out with his last stroke, and we wouldn't have changed the rule!

  3. Rules are the rules, that was the rules when they started and until they change it that's the rule everybody it hears to

  4. The real mistake they made with this new rule is that it only applies if the ball had been marked and then re-placed. If a ball has not been marked, then the old rule still applies.
This is inherently unfair because a re-placed ball was always considered as 'in play'. So, two balls could be almost touching on a green and both be blown by the wind, but would be treated differently under the rules if one of had been marked and the other had not.

  5. Stupidest rule. That should be changed. If your ball is no where near a water hazard and on the green. The wind blows your ball into the hazard after you placed your ball after marking. You should be able to replace your ball where your ball was before the wind blew it off the green… Yeah to me it on makes common sense to
