Governor Mike Braun announced that TaylorMade Golf Co. is expanding its operations in Vanderburgh County, bringing up to 50 new jobs by the end of 2031 and making a multimillion-dollar investment right here at home.
New Warehouse Planned On Petersburg Road
If you’ve driven past 6700 Petersburg Road lately, you might not realize you’re looking at the future home of a major golf powerhouse. TaylorMade plans to build a brand-new, built-to-suit warehouse facility on 53 acres, bringing all of its local operations under one roof. The company expects to begin moving into the new space in early 2027 and hiring for those new positions later that year.
Why Evansville Is Key To TaylorMade Growth
TaylorMade first moved its warehouse and distribution operations to Evansville back in 2017, and this expansion signals serious growth. Thanks to Evansville’s central location, the company can reach more than 80% of its customers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico within three days.
The expansion will also support fulfillment for TaylorMade’s premium performance lifestyle brand, Sun Day Red, created in partnership with Tiger Woods. That means Evansville will play a key role in shipping not just top-tier clubs and balls, but high-end golf-inspired apparel and footwear as well.
State And Local Leaders Support The Project
Local leaders are understandably excited. Vanderburgh County officials call it a strong vote of confidence in our workforce and community. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has committed up to $555,000 in performance-based tax credits, with additional local incentives supporting the project.
This expansion is a statement that Evansville continues to be a destination for growth, opportunity, and big-league brands. And for golf lovers around here, it’s pretty cool knowing that some of the game’s most innovative gear will be moving through right here in our own backyard.
