HUMBLE, TX- After the final round of the Chevron Collegiate, the Cyclonitas moved up to fourth place after shooting their tournament low of seven-under, putting their three-round total at six-under. Four out of five Cyclones shot under par in their final round, keeping their momentum high after a strong round two. Even in a stacked field with nine other ranked teams, the Cyclones beat out six of them in the Chevron Collegiate.
The Cyclones were led by Alexandra Vidal, who had herself a great final round of three-under. The team low for the final round put her up to a tie for 11th with five birdies on her card. Pammy Chookaew ended her tournament off also in a tie for 11th. Chookaew shot a one-under final round and also snagged five birdies for her round. Nichakorn Pinprayoon ended in a tie for 20th after a clean round of just one-over, putting Pinprayoon at a three-round total of even par.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn shot a clean one-under round with four birdies on her card, placing her in a tie for 28th. Chul-Ak-Sorn’s three rounds totaled just one-over par, putting her fourth for the Cyclonitas after two under-par rounds. Isabella Yan struggled the first two rounds but ended off on a high note, helping the Cyclones move up after shooting two-under in her final round. Yan finished in 58th and brought her total down to plus-seven.
Your Chevron Collegiate champions were number 16 ranked North Carolina after shooting 18-under after three rounds. The Tar Heels also had the tournament low round of 11-under.
