DEBARY, Fla. – Behind its best round of the tournament, the UNC Asheville women’s golf team climbed into a fourth-place finish at the Babs Steffens Invitational on Tuesday (Feb. 24).

Asheville finished with rounds of 308-307-300 (915) to finish +63 and ahead of West Georgia by one stroke.

PLAYER RESULTS

Caroline Patterson used a strong final round to climb into a tie for fifth, finishing at +8 with rounds of 77-73-71 (221). She ranked second in the field on par-4 holes, averaging 4.04.

Breanna Hoese tied for 10th at +11 with rounds of 73-76-75 (224). Hoese also ranked second in the field with 38 total pars.

Lauren Madson carded her best round of the tournament in the final round to move into a tie for 20th, posting rounds of 79-77-75 (231).

Pennie Osterberg finished tied for 47th with rounds of 79-83-79 (241), while Jordyn Arts tied for 55th with rounds of 82-81-80 (243).
