Yeah. Legends in Myrtle Beach in November. We had just gotten done, just got in our carts to go to the next hole, on the cart path behind the green. I hear an “uh oh” and then I get hit in the leg. Didn’t even give me a fore

Interesting choice to hit a stinger with your wedge there /s

My dad set up for a little 50 yard pitch between 2 trees that were in no way at risk of being in the shot. Looks back at me, says “this is a classic shot,” does a little butt waggle, and proceeds to hit directly into the tree on the right, it ricochets off and hits him directly in the forehead. Think John Candy and racquetball in Splash.

You think “Jackass: The Movie” is the height of comedy, don’t you?

I had a similar shot like in this clip except I was a bit closer and it came back right at my face. My hands happen to be in front of my face during my follow through and it hit me in my fist. It was headed right for my teeth if not for my hands.

Yeah, got whacked on the left thigh by an errant tee shot while waiting to tee off on #3 at Bellevue Golf Course (Washington)

Yes, and I can attest it hurts a lot. As an added bonus you get a bruise that usually last for about a week.

I’ve been hit 4 times on the course over the years.

First time as a junior got drilled in the ankle by another kid who sliced his shot badly.

Another time I got hit twice in one round by my mate. Done time he bounced it int my leg as he was hitting a blind shot after going behind some trees and didn’t realise I’d move further down the fairway. It didn’t really hurt so was fine.

The second time in the round though we were preaching some chips and flop shots because the group in front was slow and we had no behind and my mate thinned it straight into my back and it killed for days.

I also got hit in head from another group and don’t remember much after that.

Multiple times as a caddie, forecaddie and golfer. Not as a spectator….yet

What were you actually attempting to do there??

I play with randoms all the time that will attempt to play a shot through a tree as if it weren’t there. Makes no sense at all.

  11. Yeah a few times. Countless times got really close to being hit by a pro, they don’t always shout fore

  12. I’ve been hit a couple times. Got nailed in the jaw and felt that for a little while. Took a hit dead center on my back. Took a minute to get my breath back. Good times.

The funny part is, if you were trying to hit the tree, you would miss it by a mile.

A toed 3 wood right in the noggin! Had concussion but also shot 2 over for that 9 lol

Was on the green to assess a putt, heard Fore, not a good idea but I turned around because wtf🤷‍♂️ ball struck me in the chest. I got lucky but was obviously pissed. After some full throated yelling back at the asshole I picked up his ball and threw it 40 yards off the green.

Don’t let pride or anger put yourself in danger. I let my anger get the best of me and looking back, it was dumb, but I fully stand behind chucking the ball.

Took a full blooded 3 wood from my father while scouting his shot over a blind hill. Was younger back then so managed to block my ribs and took it on the arm.

Got him back twice since 🤣

Never with one of my own shots, though I’ve had a few close ones. I’ve been hit in the leg once by someone in my group who shanked a bunker shot while I wasn’t paying attention, stung like hell and left a purple mark for a couple weeks.

Got hit about an 1/2 inch under my eye. Split the skin right along the bone, needed about 4 stitches. I was about 10, my dad is a surgeon, he put me up on the counter top at home and stitched it up. Many years later no scar or anything.

Damn close yesterday. I took on a risky shot with a 5 iron from the trees on a par 5- got it out but hit another tree on the way to the fairway. Then I started catching up to a group ahead that I was seeing in some weird places on the course. Like, places you only go when you are slicing the ball off the face of the earth.

17 has an elevated tee box, and the right side of the fairway (where you want to be) is obscured by trees. 16 fairway is also right next to 17 fairway. So losing sight of your ball off the tee is pretty common. These guys sliced one about 50 feet from my pushcart when I was on 16 (I had also sliced it onto that side of the fairway), then hit another one that rolled about 5 feet from me while I was watching. After that I left my cart and walked to the other side of the fairway until they came down from the tee box.

I don’t judge other people or offer tips while they are playing, but it is worth noting the tendencies of the groups around you. If they are hacking it off the tees, give them more space and stay alert.

I did the exact thing- ball came back and hit me between the eyes- a lot of blood and 15 stitches.

I got hit on the elbow from a shank from about 10 yards away, ricocheted off my elbow and hit my wrist on my other arm. New member needed a partner for a pairs comp and I volunteered. Happened on the 10th, in the cold, hurt a lot.

I walked in and never saw him again, I think he cancelled his membership on the spot.
