SAVANNAH, Ga. – The IU Indianapolis men’s golf team moved the wrong direction on the final day of The Savannah Intercollegiate on Sunday (Feb. 22) with a final round 328 to finish the event at 934 (300-306-328). 

Senior Noah Kirsch led the Jaguars with a final round, 5-over 77 and junior Titus Boswell closed with a 6-over, 78. Boswell ended the event tied for 19th among the 108-player field at 7-over 223 (70-75-78). 

The Jaguars never got going in round three with a handful of players showing moments of brilliance. 

Kirsch had a pair of late birdies to help get him to 3-over before making bogey on his final two holes of the tournament. Brady Schier also had back-to-back birdies near the turn of his round of 87 and Boswell had two birdies midway through his round of 78. 

Freshman Jack Scudder was countable at 86 and senior Preston Broce ended his round at 89. 

Freshman Noah Parsetich posted a round of 8-over, 80, including a pair of birdies. 

West Georgia won the tournament title at 888 (297-292-299) and Iona was second at 890. West Georgia’s Milton Wallin and Longwood’s Hunter Swidzinski finished tied atop the leaderboard at 1-under 215. 

The Jaguars will return to action on Mar. 9-10 when they compete in the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev.
