HENDERSON, Nev. – The Coastal Carolina men’s golf team opens its spring season Monday, Feb. 23, at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational at Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev., hosted by Louisiana.

The Chanticleers were originally scheduled to open the season at the Battle at Briar’s Creek three weeks ago, but the event was canceled due to inclement weather.

“Having our first event canceled was disappointing, but the guys have responded the right way,” Coastal Carolina head coach Jacob Wilner said. “We had a competitive qualifier, and the focus has been sharp. We’re excited to get to Las Vegas and see where we stand to start the spring.”

The three-day tournament begins Monday, Feb. 23, and concludes Wednesday, Feb. 25, with 18 holes scheduled each day. The course is a par 72 measuring 7,184 yards.

In addition to the Chanticleers and host Ragin’ Cajuns, the field includes Austin Peay, Boise State, Jacksonville State, Long Island, Northern Illinois, Texas State, UC San Diego, UMKC, and Wichita State.

Coastal’s lineup features Max Bengtsson, Jack Lee, Drew Sykes, Santiago Schele, and Harrison James. The Chanticleers will play alongside Sun Belt Conference foes Louisiana and Texas State in the opening round, with James set to tee off first at 11 a.m. ET.

Live results for the Lake Las Vegas Invitational will be available all week on Scoreboard.
