Watch: Scottie Scheffler did what he needed to do to make Genesis cut

Scottie Scheffler followed up his first-round 74 with a second-round 68 to make the cut at the Genesis Invitational.

Will anyone be able to chase down Jacob Bridgeman in the final round of the Genesis Invitational?

The 26-year-old was tied atop the leaderboard after Round 2, then pulled away from Marco Penge and the rest of the field with a 64 in the third round to enter the last day with a six-shot lead at 19 under par, tying the 54-hole tournament record. Bridgeman has been off to a strong start in 2026, tying for fourth at the Sony Open and notching a T-8 at Pebble Beach as he seeks his first career PGA Tour victory.

Bridgeman’s closest competition is Rory McIlroy, the No. 2 golfer in the world who’s been off to a hot start this year as well. Aldrich Potgieter’s 6-under day put him within shouting distance, along with Aaron Rai, Kurt Kitayama and Xander Schauffele. After today, the action shifts to Florida for the Cognizant Classic in the build-up to The Players Championship.
