That great. The only thing that would bother me is I would be wondering what I would have shot for 18. Which is why 1) I Rarely played just 9, and 2) switched early on in my playing days to at least the Blue tees. That said, you have to start from somewhere, and this is a great mental boost. Also, I’ve found that sometimes playing from the Whites (on some courses) actually hinders your tee shots. Usually it’s because of the tee box height, and the distance to hazards in the fairway. Doglegs where you need extra height/ distance to cut the corner. Or a hazard that is right at 220 (hybrid 4) from the blues, as opposed to 190 6 iron from the whites. These are small but significant handcuffs from the Whites, because some clubs are easier to hit than others, and give you more room for error.
