The last time we saw Tiger Woods in a major he was finishing 60th at the 2024 Masters. But with the golf legend now looking healthy, is a trip to Augusta in the cards?
Judging by Woods’ recent comments, that seems to be a strong possibility.

Appearing on the CBS broadcast of the ongoing Genesis Invitational, Woods confirmed that he would be there at least as a presence. That wasn’t good enough for Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman though.
Immelman asked Woods if it was possible that he would be fit to play in the Masters this April. Woods responded with a short “There is.” Nantz then asked if Woods would play any tournaments before the Masters, to which Woods was non-commital.
“I don’t know,” Woods said of playing in other tournaments.

Woods and the Masters
Since his legendary 2019 Masters win, Tiger Woods has had a rough go at both the majors and golf in general. He has been beset by injuries, including his near-fatal car accident in 2021, and has been either cut or withdrawn from nine of his last 14 appearances in the majors.
But Augusta National Country Club remains the one place where Tiger always seems to summon a little bit of magic.

Even in years where nothing else seems to go right for Woods, he always manages to find a way to make the cut and play in the final two rounds of the Masters. As mentioned before, he finished 60th in 2024 before getting cut from the other three majors.

In 2022, Woods finished 47th in the Masters before withdrawing from the PGA Championship and getting cut from The Open Championship.
If Tiger can muster just enough energy to play competitively in April, there’s every reason to believe he’ll be there.
