I got that same true temper mid s300 115 shaft on my Maxfli XC2 irons. Best irons Iāve ever hit. They were developed/designed by Maltby and think they are basically the TS3

Thanks for sharing your WITB. May game as a slow swinging senior is very different and your choices donāt really match mine but it is good to see your logic for your selections. I did just pick up a used Evnroll ER11V Midlock to try and improve my distance control. I really like my PXG Allan but am struggling with distance control. I am hoping the arm lock style with give me the stability like the āzeroā torque putters while helping with the feel for distance. PS I should also say that am gaming the Maltby TS3ās (8-GW) primarily due to your excellent review. Thanks again for all you do for us!
Nice setup! Evnroll makes great putters, I roll an ER5V. I've never heard of that Feruga shaft before.
As soon as you can review the new Shot Scope lm for $200 and tell us it's worth it, I'll pick it up from Play Better.

You should never get rid of that putter. Your stroke never looked better than it did on the long one you drained. Beautiful putt.

I changed some weapons in my bag for this yr. Went with PXG Gen 7 0311 irons, 5-Gap, 52 and 56 also. These are 2025 models. They feel great and give me everything I want.

Honestly this is the most expensive best driver Iāve ever hit. LOL
Little other addition .. put a sim in my new shop. Went with Tru Golf Apogee. Was far from cheap but worth every penny.
Balls .. TP5X, maybe shouldnāt be playing a ball like this but for some reason it feels so consistently good every time I hit it.
That's a premium bag setup LPT! I'm always interested in what people, who can get their hands on most of the new release clubs, are gaming. REALLY interested in seeing the SM11's that come out… tomorrow?

I enjoyed this video! I put the Calloway Elyte Mini Driver in my bag this year. Love it! Has definitely given me confidence in hitting more fairways. I only lost about 10 yards off of my traditional driver numbers. Also bought a new old stock set of Mizuno JPX 923 Tour irons that have felt amazing and surprisingly easy to hit. I play 6-GW in them.

Shocked you didnāt go with the new Callaway driver and hybrid! Nice surprise. Want to go to PXG store and get fitted for their new gen 8 irons this spring. Been a Ping guy for years so anxious to see how that works for me.
Great review Gabe! I am heading for my zxi5 fitting this week and I am also combining my 3/5woods into a 4. Makes sense! Will consider the zxi4 for the 5/6 iron. Makes sense with the extra help.
Back into golf after 20 years. Now 6 months in so still high handicap, but 93mph driver swing speed: GT2 w/ 55g stock shaft stiff, Qi10 Max 5W (19Ā°) & 7W (22Ā°), 5hy (25Ā°), T350 6i (26Ā°), Ping G440 7i & 8i, random 9i, Titleist SM wedges 46Ā° through 60Ā°, HB SOFT 11 putter.
I am currently in the process of replacing a set of 25+ year old clubs. Have been fitted into a set of Callaway Apex Ai300 irons 5-PW, and some Callaway Opus SP wedges 52, 56 and 60 degrees. Just recently was fitted for a TaylorMade Qi4D Max driver and have yet to upgrade my additional long distance clubs. Currently have Louisville Golf Niblick 3 and 5 woods. They are beautiful clubs, but are very unforgiving on off center hits. Will get fitted for replacements for those at the end of March with whatever I need to fill in the gap between the driver and 5 iron. For putter I use an Odyssey Ai-One Rossie which I love, rarely ever 3 putt as I get good roll and I find it fairly easy to control distance. Hoping to see some improvements this year as all of the clubs I have been fitted into are more forgiving and longer than the clubs they have replaced. Love your content and the honest reviews of the gear you use.
I got a similar wedge setup with the RTZ's 52 Mid bounce, 56 full Bounce, then the same 58. Don't really use the 58 for full shots very often, unless it's just a spot on 75y, then I use the CBZ 48 for my main full pitching wedge for a little more forgiveness as my 100y club and also like the extra wide sole for pitching out of pine straw and other rescue operations.
How did you like the Burner vs. the R7 mini driver? I just put the R7 in my bag and loving it so far, I just never felt comfortable hitting 3w in the fairway, i'm happy enough hitting a 4h as far as it will go on a Par 5, so figured I'd take some more forgiveness off the tee when I'm limited to a shorter distance due to dog legs or hazards.
i have a question .if you hit your mini on the fairway and only -5 yards less why not just take the driver out the bag and roll with the mini ?

Thanks for all the great reviews. Credit on you for going with the Srixons in the blended set. Like many of your followers, I tend to tinker a lot with my gear and have tried so many irons on my 12 year journey. I have two sets of Srixons in the garage now (Just sold my Mizuno MP-20s). My gamer set is ZXi4 – 4 Iron, ZXi5 5-7 Iron, ZXi7 8-P and Cleveland Wedges. All irons using Axiom 105 Stiff shafts and Lamkin Sonar grips.

I watched the putter vid on the Origin and I knew it would be in your bag I havenāt had the opportunity to try it yet but I love the style Iām hoping for the same result as you great video
Interesting on the PXG lightning driver sound. I did not like the sound compared to my GT2.

Not using the new mizunos over the srixons is an atrocity in my eyes. Outside of price, from everything I've seen-including you, I would have bet $1000 you were playing them.

So refreshing to not see everyone gaming zero torque putters, yes they feel good. But i game a ping anser 3 from the 80's, it feels and rolls so amazing
