Started golf May 2025, 29 HCP. Went to go play 9 after work solo , I have only been to this course 3-4 times before and have only played the front 9 asked the pro shop if I could do the back 9 since I haven’t done it yet, they agreed as long I found a gap. Found a gap behind a foursome of teens. Always heard always record your par 3 in case. Hole #11 saw my clubs were blocking the view to record so decided not to, you know what are the odds I actually get a HOI so I said screw it. Waited for the foursome to clear hit my shot, instantly knew I thinned it but thanks to GI irons still made it to the front edge of the green started rolling to the hole then I watched it disappear, thought to myself no way it probably rolled down the slope behind the hole. Pull out my range finder to get a better view before I start freaking out, couldn’t see the bright yellow ball that’s when I start recording. Running up I see the foursome looking at me, I was like no way, see the creek and thought they were saying it rolled down the hill and into the creek, checked the hole and there it is. Just open a sleeve of Kirkland golf balls and there it was at the bottom of the cup! I was so glad the foursome happened to be watching or nobody would believe me.
TLDR: got a hole in one playing solo in my first year of playing, with a foursome to vouch.

Congrats dude! I always film my par 3s when I play by myself. You never know the day it’ll go in! I always tell myself today could be the day. Closest I’ve ever come, I was playing a par 3 at my local course at Louisiana State University. It was like 120 or 130 yards. I hit one of the most horrible shots I’ve ever hit off the tee. It was like a really low stinger that looked like straight dog shit. It ended up rolling up right to the hole and stopping within less than a foot. My buddies all cheered me on and told me to go finish her off. I proceeded to be so scared of my putt from adrenaline that I didn’t even put it in the hole. Lmao
