I didn’t realize at first this was a par 3, but either way for 6 what a round!

I had received my 1st set of clubs that Christmas, Wilson’s Starter set bought by Santa at Montgomery Ward.

Course was a little Pitch n Putt that wound through a Mobile Home Park. I am pretty sure my scores are generous with some “pace of play” and “ready golf” pickups.

Grandpa (who was only 51 at the time) was a good golfer but greens at the goat track made the moon loci like Augusta National. I am not saying anything nefarious about Grandpa’s score *but* he played a fast round and had a generous gimme range.

Google Maps tells me that mobile home have long since replaced the golf course. But technically at the time it was a rare breed of a urban course.

Gramps needed 3 warm up holes…I usually need 5 or 6…
