SPRING, Texas – The Pittsburg State University women’s golf team wrapped up the first tournament of the spring semester down in Texas at the Cypresswood Golf Course on Tuesday (Feb. 17).
Pittsburg State finished in 15th as a team with one individual finishing in the top 50. Kymbree Larance led the team at +19 over 54 holes, Kylee Hopper (+25) finished 61st, Genevieve Akers (+27) 66th, Katherine Adkins (+32) 71st, Abby Ervin (+38) 74th and Charlotte Kerbs (+52) came in at 78th.
The University of Texas – Tyler claimed the tournament team title at +18 over two days with all four scoring individuals inside the top-20 of all individuals. Lucy Kate Smith of UT-Tyler picked up the individual crown at +2.
Up next for the Gorillas will be the Rattler Invite beginning on Monday (Feb. 23) in San Antonio, Texas at The Dominion Country Club.
