TaylorMade has refreshed its fairway wood and hybrid lineup with one clear goal: more adjustability, more choice, and better fitting across the bag.

In this video, I break down what’s new, how the Core, Max, Max Light and Tour heads differ, and most importantly, which one you should be choosing for your swing, not your handicap.

🔧 What’s New This Year
• Adjustable loft sleeves now extend all the way to 7- and 9-woods in the Core, Max and Max Light ranges
• Tour fairway woods feature a new 3-weight system for lower spin and precise shot shaping
• Expanded fairway and hybrid options to replace long irons more effectively

🏌️ Fairway Wood Breakdown

• Core Fairway Wood
The true all-rounder. Balanced head shape, adjustable lofts from 3- to 9-wood, and a flatter topline for a cleaner look at address.
• Max & Max Light Fairway Woods
Designed for forgiveness and easy launch. Larger, shallower heads that are ideal off the deck. Max Light reduces overall weight to help increase clubhead speed.
• Tour Fairway Wood
Compact, deeper-faced, and low spin. Built primarily for tee shots with three movable weights for draw/fade bias and CG tuning.

⛳ Hybrid Options Explained

• Core Hybrid
Adjustable loft sleeve (2–5 hybrid), refined shape, and a more iron-like look for players who want control and versatility.
• Max & Max Light Hybrids
Higher launch, more forgiveness, and easier turf interaction. No adjustable sleeve to save weight and boost launch—perfect for slower swing speeds.

Why 7- & 9-Woods Are Taking Over
• Easier launch than long irons
• Higher, softer landings into greens
• Better performance from rough
• More consistency on long approaches and par 5s

Who Should Play What?
• Max / Max Light – Need forgiveness and easy launch
• Core – Want a balanced fairway that works off tee and turf
• Tour – Prefer compact, low-spin performance mainly off the tee
• Hybrids – Want iron-like control or a reliable long-iron replacement

Final Thought
This range proves that fit matters more than handicap. With more adjustability than ever—especially in higher-lofted fairway woods—the right setup can completely change how these clubs perform for you.
👉 Best advice: test them with a fitter, try different shafts and lofts, and let performance decide.
