Omg he funniest shit ever happened to me on this hole!!! I play here regularly, this is a 150′ drop it seems and there’s a river running behind the the hole. What happened to me is I hit 2 balls for fun one went on the green one went in the trap. It’s a windy road through the trees and downhill so I was walking and it was slow maybe 3 minute walk no joke. When I get down there I see my ball on the green but my trap shot is gone….. Buttttt what is there is a set of tiny footprints in the trap coming from the river direction and going back to the river lol. I had a suspicion some kids had stolen my ball after a minute of contemplating and decided to yell outside the pro shop is coming out to the hole if I don’t get my ball out. Nothing. I call again I’m about to call and I actually hear some wispsrs and then I knew something was up and called out one last time and 4 little kids (7-10 years maybe) with a plastic bag full of balls come out of the river. I ask them if they ran on the trap and they said no. Obviously a lie haha. tell them they gotta show me all the balls and they pour them out and I find my ball (it has custom text that says 420 ik it’s Portland). I give them a wag of the finger but was impressed with their river haul and had my favorite golf story ever and know it get to share it with more than just my buddies!
