Loyola Intercollegiate 2026 First Round
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Tomas Rascon is among the top 15 and SIUE golf is 15th after the first round of the Loyola Intercollegiate completed Sunday at Palm Valley Golf Club.
Competing as the 66ers, SIUE combined to shoot 293 for the first round. Host Loyola Maryland and Richmond are tied for the team lead with a 280. Denver and South Dakota are both a stroke back and tied for third.
Rascon carded a 70 (-2) and is tied among a group of 11 golfers tied for 13th. Brady Kaufmann is at an even 72 and is tied for 38th.
Will Simpson is tied for 74th with a 75 (+3). Preston Bily, who is playing as the individual, also has a 75.
Brent Reintjes is tied for 88th at 76 (+4). Max Bruening is tied for 98th at 77 (+5).
Utah Valley’s Paxton Maxwell lead the individual competition with a seven-under 65.
The second round gets underway at 8:45 CT Monday.
