Tournament Central/Live Scoring
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – UT Arlington women’s golf is competing in its second tournament in as many weeks, gearing up for the Texas Golf Throwdown. The tournament begins Monday at The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands before wrapping up Tuesday.
UTA returned to action this past week, competing in the BGSU Women’s Intercollegiate to open the spring. The Mavericks had a strong outing, posting a 15-over-par 867 that was just four back of tournament-winner UTEP.
Four UTA players finished in the top 20 individually at the Intercollegiate, and the Mavericks will bring the same lineup with them to The Woodlands.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Kamri Gabel
Gabel is coming off a strong showing at the BGSU Women’s Intercollegiate, finishing tied for second with a 2-under-par 211 that was just one back of the lead. The senior was one of only four players in the tournament field that finished below par.
Nitisha Manikandesh
Manikandesh had the second-best finish for the Mavericks at the Intercollegiate, carding scores of 70-73-74– 217 and placing 10th. The senior had just one bogey in her 1-under-par round one.
Chandler Browning
Finishing just one spot behind Manikandesh on the leaderboard was Browning who finished with a 5-over-par 218 for the tournament. The redshirt senior parred 28 holes across the final two rounds.
Tarini Bhoga
Bhoga finished in 20th, posting rounds of 74-73-74 for an 8-over-par 221. The sophomore had a strong showing on the back nine in round two where she birdied three holes while avoiding any bogeys.
Nirjara Gulhane
Making her second start in a row is Gulhane who finished in 68th at the Intercollegiate. The junior’s tournament was highlighted by a 3-over-par 74 in the first round.
