GAINESVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men’s golf opened up play at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida on Saturday afternoon.

The Ospreys were able to complete the first round, but the second round was halted due to time constraints with lighting. Danny Erickson holds the top score of the day through 32 holes at 3-over.

ROUND REFLECTIONS


Danny Erickson carded the best score for the Ospreys on Saturday at 3-over on the day.
The redshirt sophomore top-10 mark in scoring average on par-five holes at 3-under (4.40).
Filippo Serra recorded three birdies on the front nine of the course during the opening round to sit at 6-over.
Luke Balaskiewicz used his 1-under 69 score in the first round to share Serra’s placement on the leaderboard.
Laurens Schulze-Doering leads the team and is top 10 among the field in pars with 24 total on his way to a 9-over day.
Jean-Philippe Parr joins Balaskiewicz with six total birdies, which shares the lead for the team, to round out the day for UNF.
