Charlie Woods will not be following in the footsteps of his father.
The 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods has announced his commitment to Florida State.
The elder Woods famously attended Stanford where he won the NCAA individual golf championship in 1996.
Born in Orlando, Woods has two amateur titles to his name. He was a victor at the South Florida PGA Junior Cup in 2024 and he was a winner at last May’s Team TaylorMade Invitational in Jupiter, FL.
Woods has competed alongside his father at five PNC Championships, finishing as runners-up in 2021 and 2024.
Florida State has never won an NCAA title and last won the ACC Championship in 2008.
