I have been looking at adding a simulator for a while now. I’m not a very good golfer, just wanted to give some more iron practice, have some fun, and get my family interested. I have a three-car garage and also wanted to clean up all the storage in that area. Project requirements: I needed to have both cars be parked in the garage, not adjust the rails of my garage doors, simulator budget $5,000, use my irons and hybrids.

It worked out best to put the enclosure in the middle bay. Both cars fit, and my workbench was still accessible even with a car in the right bay. Putting all the storage bins over the garage doors worked out well. I used smaller boxes so I couldn’t put very heavy items on those storage boxes. I think the whole setup looks pretty clean without having a dedicated simulator room. I was able to set this all up by myself and no help. My favorite final touch was making the Rolex wall clock. I want to upgrade my turf to some matting and a better putting surface down the road.

Thanks to everyone that added their own setups so I could learn from all of you.

The clock face came from https://sencio-shop.com, the lettering I ordered from a vendor on Etsy, I built the frame, painted, and assembled. I saw the original idea for this on a YouTube channel – Pixel Golf

If you would do it again – what would you change? The $2784 – worth it?

I need that Rolex sign. Where did you get that?

What was the most time consuming aspect? Anything you’d do differently in terms or design and build?

Great work! Very professional looking. What’s the distance needed from the screen to the back of the backswing (roughly). In other words, what’s the depth I need?
