I like your take on JB being the media face, why not give JB a more fitting title, like Race Day Director or something more inclusive of the management team. Ambassador seems vague

Jonson has worked for SKY TV so he is good with media and questions. The media can often grill people if they are not doing well and you need a press person to put out the fires. A lot of people in the Garage will not talk to media. Because they know thing's that are classified and the public are not allowed to know. Even drivers are trained in how to talk and deal with media. Some are better at it than others.
Now he can pee in Alonso’s seat every day. 😂

Is anyone struck by irony that Jenson and Fernando started racing around the same time,JB retired from F1 in 2016 and Fernando is No 1 at Aston this season
Jenson speaks Japanese as well so the media side linked with Honda would be much easier. His previous links with the team and the country have to benefit all sides
Add that to the fact that he gets on well enough with Alonso to be able to joke a peeing in his seat and you can't go wrong.
Jenson was Somersets first world champion. Well known in the county for being a lovely chap.

Peter Windsor doesn’t seem to have much of a memory re Button with Benneton ,yes his first year was poor but his second year he totally outscored Jarno Trulli,Briatore the manager didn’t get on with and signed Alonso for the following year.This is Briatore who fixed races and was banned for it for life but the corrupt FIA brought him back.Some suggest Alonso world title wasn’t won fairly but the public will never truly know.
