It’s that time of year again, new driver day! 😍 Will anything beat the Ping G430 Max (cheating stick) that I’ve had in the bag for 3 years? Will I end up with the TaylorMade Qi4D, the Callaway Quantum or something completely different? Maybe even the new Ping G440K, who knows?

Huge thanks to Ryan and Scottsdale Golf!

Hope you enjoy, Gaz!

  1. Gaz do you have some kind of deal with Scottsdale? why do you always go to them for a fitting. get yourself over to Chesterfield to SGGT and see Lawrence or Jordan hitting out onto a range with Pro V1's, It will be so much better

  2. Just bought a second hand G430 max 10k. The hype is real. I had the ai smoke max which was also great but so much easier to miss with that wild right shot. The ping gave me so much confidence

  3. Ventus black works well for you, why try a devotion in the TM? Id have thought finding the best head with the ventus would be the way to go… and once settled on the head maybe try a different shaft or 2.

  4. You have the same swing as me and im getting a fitting soon as my pro gets the projector fixed at his studio

  5. Keep the ping mate , you keep going back to it for a reason . That's why the pro's won't change unless they have to

  6. The amount of close up shots where we couldn’t see the swing, ball direction on the screen etc made the whole video a bit weird.

  7. I'm with you – hitting driver indoors feels claustrophobic, like you're going to hit the wall or ceiling with your club even if there's no chance of it happening. You end up swinging a bit restricted.

  8. I do feel like there is a gap in the market for golf pros who do lessons in simulators and can fit clubs, but don't work for a specific brand. I got fitted for my QI35 by the pro I use for lessons, and it was great because he knew my swing and I felt totally comfortable in the fitting (familiar studio, familiar fitter, etc).
However, there is just that little voice in the back of my head that I only tried the 3 QI35 heads, along with a variety of shafts because he's associated with Taylor Made. If he had access to more options, I might have walked away with a better product even though I am happy with my driver.
Long story short – I get why you (and others in the comments) have the issue with getting fitted and you feeling it's not your actual swing.

  9. Driver is so hard in the SIM mate and you get tired then you try harder swing goes off I find myself chasing numbers and data 🤯🤯🤯
