The Rotary Club of Chemainus recently presented a $500 cheque to Mount Brenton Golf Course in support of its junior golf program.
The junior golf program gives local kids affordable, year-round access to the game while building confidence, friendships and positive relationships with supportive adult mentors.
Rotary holds a bottle drop in Chemainus every Saturday to raise funds for club projects. On the first and third Saturdays of each month, Rotary partners with other community organizations to help run the bottle drop, with a portion of the funds raised going to the partnering community group.
The bottle drop is located at the Rotary Club of Chemainus bunker across from Subway on Chemainus Road and accepts refundable containers on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
