Does This PROVE Forgiving Golf Clubs Are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!?

  1. Great breakdown. Distance is never only about speed; it’s about how well your club and your mind are synchronized. When both move as one, every shot feels effortless.

  2. Recently got into golf. Real newbie. Bought a 3 and 4i based pair hybrids from jack nicklaus, 20 odd years old from ebay, £18. Boy, do they send the ball when hit right and very forgiving as I have poor consistency. Favourite clubs off the tee or the deck. Straight flying 160 odd yards as a newbie. My instructor had a go sending a ball 230 odd yards. Goes to prove new doesn't mean ideal.

  3. I'm a single figure hc, bought Eleven hybrids 4 and 5, I've tried everything and can't hit them out of my shadow, so confused almost feel like I've been sold a couple of duds! Makes no sense. Having to stick with my old M4's.

  4. @JamesRobinsonGolf great video, I love the idea of the UW and that Eleven have a more affordable similar club.
I struggle to hit the fairway and would happily play Eleven Mini driver and a couple of XL hybrids at the top of my bag to be more consistent.

  5. Another good video, James. As a golfer trying to "always" improve, your club comparisons help with narrowing down decision making in purchasing expensive clubs.

  6. factors to consider for either option. on an Eleven hybrid purchase the calculator added in shipping to the US and sales tax, adding 20-30% to the price. callaway apex UW current model is still the priciest, but if you go with an earlier model, and there are a few, there's a big savings. i even found a 2019 callaway super model UW cheap. the numbers on the older ones was 10-20% less distance, which more closely matches the Eleven hybrid. so, there we go. food for thought.

  7. If it has the same loft and is roughly the same length then the only difference I have ever found is feel. The Callaway feels better than the Cleveland HY-Wood or but the distance and dispersion are withing a yard of each other. 17 degree Ping Hybrid, yep, same. Tour Edge hybrid the same. I don't really care about adjust ability. If I test it and it works then so what. But for $300 or pounds, yeah, it probably should have adjust-ability. It's not like it costs the manufacturer that much to add it. Obviously, since Eleven has it and other clubs at lower prices have it as well. Glad you used the adjustable sleeve. I don't like when guys complain about a club not having one or raving about it having one and then never testing whether the adjust ability matters or not. If you don't use it then don;'t mention it, complain about not being there or rave about it being there. Like you said, different clubs for different people. One is not better than the other, just better for a particular person.

  8. Callaway won’t put an adjustable hosel on the UW because they want you to have to buy multiple ones to cover the lofts needed. It’s all about that money.

  9. Hi james watched this video was impressed with the eleven club ive ordered one myself Kevin.

  10. It's Callaway preowned for me. The like new clubs are as good as new and the prices can't be beat. The Eleven's are great but in the US the price is much higher.

  11. Surprised you haven't went down the Maltby rabbit hole, he just released a set for $250 and its crazy forgiving

  12. Yeah all good if you're a PGA Pro…..I mean, I can't hit with my hybrid if I spent all day on the Golf course! But thanks for posting!

  13. Regarding the pricing….Just getting to be too much. Like your video on the Eleven FW1 but went I went to order it comes out to about 350 USD. A bit too much for a club which doesn’t get used every outting.

  14. 17 handicap golfer who bought full set of hybrid eleven irons around six weeks ago. In all honesty they are a great price but to date there is no great evidence that they provide an instant improvement in ball striking or my scores. Some of this is getting used to how to line up the clubs as I regularly leave it open but it looks square to me. Problem with the majority of these videos is that you have a quality golfer trying them out and their mishits are totally different to those of mid range and high handicappers!

  15. Distance is a number, a number you can assign to a club. If I can consistently get 150 yard carry out of my 7 iron, I'm happy, because if I need a 150 yard carry, I have the club.

  16. Fooking wanker is a walking billboard for these companies. Gone are the days of just getting on with it and he waffles on like a drunk penguin now

  17. Golf is stupidly expensive now, I’m still using my Hawke Irons I received as a kid in the 70s , I can’t afford new ones on a pension

  18. Callaway is tour proven and generationally reliable. Eleven.. well they won’t exist in a few years.

  19. Don't be so hard on the big guys prices. They bring us incredible options and quality. Also, nobody has to buy! Quit worrying so much price please. Enjoy the performance of some incredible products. Always enjoy your videos.
