It’s the test you’ve all been waiting for. We’ve put the best drivers of 2026 up against each other to see which ones will be going in our bags for the rest of the season. We’ve got competitors from all the biggest brands, with plenty of new releases for 2026.

With options from Callaway, Cobra, TaylorMade, Ping, PXG, Srixon, Wilson and Titleist in the mix, we’ve got something for everyone. But what driver for 2026 will come out on top? To find out, we put them up against each other in the hands of an average golfer as well as one of the longest hitters in Europe.

Our Performance Editor, Lewis Fraser, who swings the club around 95mph, tested out the core models of the range that will provide a combination of distance and forgiveness. Our Gear Editor, James Tait, tested out the low spinning versions of the clubs to find the best 2026 driver for fast swing speeds.

We’ve rated each driver on looks, sound and feel, dispersion, distance and ball speed. After that, we crunched the numbers and decided which 2026 driver we were going to put in our bag. We tested them out at Golf It! in Glasgow, using the Trackman simulator, with Titleist Pro V1x RCT golf balls to get the most accurate data. Tested at Homepage | Golf It (golf-it.com)

  1. Now I'm not a betting man and don't take this wrong. But a 4 shot difference between your handicaps? I honestly thought Lewis was a 15 handicap and James about +3 handicap.

  2. Can I have the ping 440k please then? Or any for that matter please I still have a callaway razr hawk. Dm me please about

  3. Absolutely no surprise to me about the TaylorMade. I got into golf about 9 months ago and tried a few drivers but landed a good used Qi10 LS 8* after breaking a few 9* ones. My personal record for a range ball on Toptracer long drive is 386 yards, made with the Qi10 at sea level on December 15th. I’d see ball speeds over 210 some days with my highest at 214 mph.

Of course it broke behind the speed pocket as they do, but TaylorMade upgraded two of my clubs for free. We’ve just had negative DA’s so I’m not setting any more range records until the high pressure systems pass. The density altitude was literally at -1,800ft the other day. So much extra lift and drag a 200 mph ball won’t clear 350 total. I’m sure it will do great though. The Qi35 LS 8* felt very heavy and harder to control to me. Didn’t go nearly as far either.

  4. The new callaway Quantum triple diamond and Triple Diamond Max are easily the best drivers on the market. Quantum is a huge improvement over the last 3 years from Callaway. Titleist and Ping are still great, Taylormade is extremely overrated… as usual.

  5. No 💎💎💎 max is sad to see, it’s probably the best all around Callaway and suites most golfers

  6. So gt2 wins overall if u include price. Just picked one up for 400 Canadian and absolutely love it. Had planns for a fitting, not sure anymore due to the low price and performance I'm getting from that head and the shaft i was fit into 2 years ago for TSR3.

  7. I'm a regular swing speed and tried them all and the new Cobra is the king. Plus their future fit 33, nobody comes close for adjustability and its easy to do yourself
