Last year I raised my ceiling from 8 feet to 14. All DIY (with some drawings from a structural engineer)

I’m assuming you were in the attic and knew you had the room to go up? Also, what was the cost to do this all in, including consulting the structural engineer if you don’t mind. We’re you posting the designs, didn’t see those.

I think I have a ceiling just like this in one of my rooms of the house, but would be good to see what you were dealing with up above before the ceiling got ripped out.

  2. So awesome!! Did you happen to make a YouTube tutorial? 😊😁

Fantastic! Maybe your list already, but someday ditch that enclosure and go with padding on the walls and up the ceiling! It would make the space feel even more open and bigger. Cheers!

You did all that to play E6 with a Skytrak – definitely need to upgrade to a ceiling mounted system like ProteeVX or Uneekor, and GSP next.

Me: my 900 square foot house could definitely handle this. I don’t need a living room anyways.

I wanted to do this for my main room of the home and have the sim be there but I got quotes of upwards of 10k to do it.

Im impressed by the effort you’re putting in to break 100! This should easily take 10 strokes off and get you to 95
