PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The No. 6 Florida women’s team used the low round of the day (-2) to climb three spots into second-place after round two of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge on Monday. 

The Gators round of 2-under was a 10-shot improvement from the opening round and tied for the lowest round of the tournament through 36-holes among a field of nine top-25 teams. Florida trails No. 23 UCLA (-2) by eight strokes tomorrow and tees off at 11:15 a.m. ET at Palos Verdes Golf Club. 

Paula Francisco and Siuue Wu lead the UF ‘Moving Day’ charge with under par rounds. Francisco had a 3-under 68, which was tied for low round today and second this week. After +2 in her first three holes, the junior finished bogey-free behind four birdies to move into T15 and an eight-shot difference in her round one. Wu logged a 2-under 69 that featured three birdies in her last five holes. The sophomore is tied for 8th. 

Freshman Katelyn Huber turned in a strong even-par 71 for a counting score today, she is tied for 15th. The final counting mark was from junior Inés Archer with a 74 (+3).

One of four Gators to cut strokes off from their opening round, Addison Klonowski (individual) had a even-par 71.
