ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – Senior Shaun Cook guided the Kennesaw State men’s golf team in the opening round of the Sea Best Invitational at Atlantic Beach Country Club.
KSU carded a 7-over round of 291 on the par-71 course.
Cook made three birdies and 14 pars on the way to a 2-under par round of 69. He sits in fifth place.
Hunter Gillard posted an even-par round of 71 and is in 18th place.
Kyle Bachksoky is in 51st place after a round of 4-over par 75.
Reed Sweigart and Ryan Nicholson opened with rounds of 76 and are tied for 57th.
The Owls will play the final round of the Sea Best Invitational on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
