CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team opens its spring season at the FAU Paradise Invitational, beginning Monday in Boca Raton, Fla.

The three-day tournament will be held at Osprey Point Golf Club and runs Monday through Wednesday. Cincinnati’s lineup for the FAU Paradise Invitational features Ellise Rymer, Rim Imni, Yu-Wei Chiang, Mar Garcia Jimenez and Clara Willem.

Cincinnati will face a loaded field featuring host FAU along with Tulane, Indiana, Rutgers, Mercer, Texas Tech, FIU, Kentucky, Denver, Clemson, Colorado State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee and Notre Dame.

Cincinnati posted a strong fall showing across four events, finishing with a 298.8 team scoring average and a runner-up finish at the Powercat Invitational. The Bearcats’ low round of the fall came at the Golfweek Fall Challenge (288), while their best three-round total was an 881 at the same event.

Individually, Ellise Rymer led the way, recording a team-best 73.50 scoring average across four tournaments. She turned in the lowest round of the fall (69) and finished second at the Pat Bradley Invitational, posting the team’s best individual finish of the season.

Mar Garcia Jimenez was another consistent presence in the lineup, averaging 74.11 over three events. Her best performance came at the Pat Bradley Invitational, where she shot a 218 and finished tied for third.
